In mid-September I received a call from The Today Show and  honestly when I was first contacted I thought maybe it was a hoax, however little did I know this phone call was one of the most eye-opening and humbling experiences in my life.I was asked by a fabulous Today Show Producer, Jennifer Long, to put together a surprise party for Erin Ludwig. Erin is a local woman who just so happened to be my age and diagnosed with breast cancer. It really hit home to know someone the same age as myself was going through such a tough battle. After speaking with Jennifer for a while and meeting her in person to go over Erin's likes & loves, we threw an amazing surprise party. Her family was flown in from Florida and she was even surprised with Hoda pulling up in a new Ford Explorer just for The Ludwig Family. Long story short this taught me to never take things for granted and when you are given the opportunity ALWAYS give back when possible!  Erin Ludwig was diagnosed with breast cancer, and it started to spread. Ludwig and her family do not know what her future will hold, but TODAY’s Hoda Kotb helps give them a day of surprises she will never forget as part of our new series called #PinkPowerTODAY
